A journal of Leadership, Learning and School Development

Wingspan is an international journal for leadership, learning and school development, which serves as a meeting place for cross-cultural exchange and learning through text-based dialogue. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles, praxis-based stories, and an annotated literature review, featuring different cultural perspectives related to schooling in the 21st century. A broad range of topics are covered by the journal, including:

  • Leadership,
  • Learning,
  • School development and work culture,
  • Educational policy,
  • Technology and schooling, and
  • Workforce development.

The purpose of the journal is to:

  • Spread knowledge about leadership, learning and school development in the 21st century, through the telling of praxis-based stories and research by educators from around the world.
  • Serve as a forum for educators around the world to share and dialogue openly about school development that is responsive to 21st century conditions and challenges for societal development
  • Serve as a formal structure and network for documenting good schooling practice as it relates to leadership, school development, teacher-staff development, curriculum and pedagogical theory
  • Serve as a clearinghouse for contemporary literature related to leadership, learning and school development that serves the overall aim of the journal
